About me.
I was born and brought up in Glasgow during the 1960/70's. I moved to London in the late 1980's to further my career. I spent many years working in administration and management within BT.
After leaving BT in the late 1990's and whilst training as a psychotherapist I worked full time for many companies including IBM and finally Haymarket Media.
I London I started a voluntary career in athletics with Thames Valley Harriers. I am a club Vice President and Life Member. I ended my athletics voluntary work in 2014 after the Glasgow Commonwealth Games I was an British Athletics International Field Events Judge. I now restrict my involvement to watching from the stands.
I moved back to Scotland in 2007 and now live in Fife. In 2010 I was diagnosed with epilepsy.
I am now passionate in educating and supporting others with life long illness. I provide motivational talks including on behalf of Universities to highlight that epilepsy does not necessarily mean that they have to restrict the majority of things that they want to do, unless for legal reasons i.e.driving. people in wheelchairs have climbed Everest. These things can happen. It's about doing things in a way that works for you, not others expectations.
I no longer hold a driving licence. I use live travel apps for getting around the country. It does not stop me running a successful business or travelling alone across the world.
I identify as Cis gender, white Scottish, demisexual gay. The list could go on and through my choice doesn't.
I am passionate about Liquorice Allsorts and can usually tell the brands apart. In my eyes a skill equivalent to whisky/wine tasting..
